How to Handle Component with Edit Panel in Moyea PlayerBox

When using Moyea PlayerBox, you may wonder the ways to operate with the drag-and-drop edit panel. Here is the quick guide for you to edit components for web player with Moyea PlayerBox. The guide consists of three parts:


Add component to edit panel

Find component on edit panel

Change component position


To add component to Edit Panel


1. When you move your mouse to a component style you want to add, a tip note will inform you to drag the item to the Edit Panel to insert.



2. Click the component you wan to add to the Edit Panel, and the component is highlighted.


3. Keep pressing the mouse and start moving the component to the Edit Panel.


4. When moving mouse to the position you want to place the component, release the mouse and the component will be added to the Edit Panel with the enabled functions.


Note: Some components shall be unique on Edit Panel. If there is the same component type on Edit Panel when you want to add another style, you will get the following message asking you whether to replace the existing one or not.



If you want to use the new type, click Yes to replace the component. Otherwise, click No to ignore the adding.


To find component on Edit Panel


When you have added several components on Edit Panel, you can just click on the component to get the component type name and properties. However, when there are full of components on Edit Panel, you will find it difficult to click on the component you want. Here is the quick way to find the component with the name and type.


1. Choose Edit > Find Control, or just use the shortcut Ctrl + F to open the Find Control window.

The component list will be displayed according to the components you added to the Edit Panel.



2. Find the name or component type.


• Directly look at the component list.

• Type the name at the Name box. The name box will remember the name you type, if you press Enter after typing the character. You can click the drop-down button to find the name you previously entered on the current Find Control window.

• Choose the component type from the Type box. By default, is selected to show all the components with the name you enter. The Type drop-down list depends on the components available on Edit Panel.


3. To modify the component, make sure that an option is selected and click OK button on bottom-right corner, or double click on the option.
When there is only one option on the list, the component will be automatically selected on the list and the Edit Panel with related properties showing in Properties window. If there are multiple lines on the list, click on an option and the component will be selected.


To change component position


Moyea PlayerBox supports changing the position with drag and drop, or directly entering value on Properties window. For changing position with direct value, you can change the value for Top and Left under the Basic Properties tab..


Here is the instruction about changing component position with drag and drop.


1. Select a component on Edit Panel.


2. Move the mouse pointer to the component until it turns to the move symbol with arrows to four directions.


3. Click on the mouse and move the mouse with keeping the mouse pressed.
When you move near a component with 4 pixels, the component will be snapped to the nearest component if you have the snap command enabled. To disable the snap command, go to Tool > Preferences > Common and uncheck the box for Auto snap.


4.Release the mouse when it gets to the position you want. The Left and Top properties will change accordingly.

To replace component on Edit Panel

After adding certain components on the Edit Panel, you may want to change some component style. Moyea PlayerBox supports convenient component replacement with drag and drop or right-click menu. You can replace components like Video, Onscreen Play Button, Play Button, Stop Button, Mute Button, Duration, Play Trackbar and so on.
After a component is replaced, the size and position of the component will not be changed. The basic properties of the new component style will be the same as that of the replaced one. However, the skins in advanced settings will be cleared.


1. When you drag and drop new component style with existing component on Edit Panel, you will get the message like below.


2. Select a component style and right click on the component style, you will find the Replace option from the menu. Choose the replace option and the new component style will be applied.


3. Click on the mouse and move the mouse with keeping the mouse pressed.
When you move near a component with 4 pixels, the component will be snapped to the nearest component if you have the snap command enabled. To disable the snap command, go to Tool > Preferences > Common and uncheck the box for Auto snap.


4.Release the mouse when it gets to the position you want. The Left and Top properties will change accordingly.
